After three years of circumnavigation on board the ship Havana, Emil Midé Erichsen returned home to Denmark in 2016. In this Emil Erichsen lecture, he tells the story of the upheaval it was to come home again. Through new stories from the sailing trip and not yet shown clips from Course to distant shores, Emil will take the audience on board Havana's journey home and with empathy tell about what it was like from one day to the next to change the quiet everyday life on the boat. with a life at home in old surroundings, but with a changed view of life.  In the lecture, Emil will also take the audience up along the west coast of Norway and all the way to Svalbard with the family's "new" ship Wallenberg. With beautiful pictures and video recordings, the audience will come below the surface, into the fantastic blue world and will experience swimming scallops, wild orcas and giant humpback whales.  With experiences and stories from the southern hemisphere in the Pacific to the Barents Sea north of the Arctic Circle, Emil also tells of a globe that is hard pressed and changing.
